Normal Jiu Jitsu is more like Judo, focused on throws and takedowns and BJJ is focused on submissions and sweeps once you're already down

Judo, for almost ten years.
I've been thinking about doing BJJ but there isn't a dojo or gym in my area. There was one for a few months but those dudes didn't really seem to know what the fuck they were doing. Like a couple blue belts decided to up and make their own gym and call themselves black belts. No wonder it closed.
Judo, boxing, wrestling, and capoeira.
