Free market is fixing my country.

Why big commieblocks? Why not just more smaller ones and more scenery and parks along with good lightning and stores and stuff like that?
>>
>>56476755
But why bother with that when you can cram 10 times more people and get the moneys. The apartments would cost more = less people will buy them, because majority poor as fuck.
>>
>>56476854
It won't benefit anyone, this is why russia is still poor and underdeveloped in most parts. You don't get more money for building shitty stuff, because you will have to repair it a lot to keep it up, basically going backwards, unless they plan to sell the apartments and then say good luck taking care of it to the buyers.

There are still a lot of people who live in shared "communal" apartments and country houses without running water. It's better to live in a modern commieblock than go to the street outhouse at -30C to poo.
>>
>>56476719

Those look soul crushingly homogeneous enough to bring a proud tear to Khrushchev's eye.
>>
>>56476884
The ground here isn't properly seated, can see it from the rotting of the wood and the lack of proper insulation.
>>
>>56476854
It's not like a space is issue in Russia...
>>
>>56476854
Even if they're poor if they're given options they would go for what I said, even if it would cost them a bit more. They would take it any day, because less depressing, more infrastructure and stores and etc.
>>
>>56476755
Fast money made on tiny pieces of lands. Those people are so dumb they don't realize ugly ass environment won't attract educated young people, businesses, etc. Seems like almost nobody cares about the future here and nobody wants to make the country better.
>>
>>56476755

Because building the

>smaller ones and more scenery and parks along with good lightning and stores

would be like ten times more expensive than putting a couple of 20-storey monstrous shitblocks in the middle of nowhere without any proper infrastructure for them.
>>
>>56476719
north korea?
>>
>>56477077
How would it be ten times more expensive, do you even understand the problems and costs you need for having lifts and such to get tall and big commieblocks? It's more efficient, both building and price wise to make smaller ones in masses. The reason they build a big block in russia is because they're going all out on being cheap with buying land. They're dividing costs according to the soil purchase, not for the costs of building. They could easily build 4 small for the same cost of 2 big and have the same amount of "people" inside, but the problem is they don't want to do the buying land and shit part. Anyway, I hope russia becomes well structured.
>>
>>56476932
>they're given options they would go for what I said

In the most cases they simply have no other available options.

>even if it would cost them a bit more

It would cost them not "a bit more", but several times more.
>>
>>56477203
Why do they increase it several times when it doesn't cost that much?
Reason I am talking about this is because I work at construction sites and know my things about this, so it just makes me all worried.
>>
>>56477190
I doubt it would be the same cost. They may be retarded, but they are not idiots and will try too squeeze out every ruble. Maybe land is super expensive, but I'm not sure.
>>
>>56477077
I wouldn't say 10 times.

You also forget that they can build the same from the same materials but looking A LOT BETTER. Just give it a different project with normal design. It's not that expensive, architectural colleges and unis give us hundreds of specialists every year.

But you will need to walk 4 times more or drive where high-rise dwellers walk by foot. I actually like living in high-density hood.

First: land is very expensive here.
Second: providing infrustructure to every separate house will be the main expensive thing here
Third: not that many people have cars
Fourth: providing russian standarts of heating and insulation in separate house is really expensive. Russian will not live in finnish house, 18°C inside is too cold.

I live in the smallest capital city and we're fucking 450 people per k.

>>
>>56476913

It's not about space. It's about infrastructure. Russia is too poor to spread their population out and still maintain a decent standard of infrastructure. It's basically impossible for Russians not to live in commieblocks and still have running water, electricity, and such things.
