Summer time, although those BBQs usually involve more alcohol than food.

The grillmaster role is highly prestigious and basically makes you an alpha male in eyes of everyone.

I live in Louisiana. During Mardi Gras (the whole month, not just the main week) is crawfish season, which is like our local version of BBQ season. We boil corn, crawfish, potatoes, garlic, and sausage all with really spicy seasoning (the corn is notorious for making you gasp for water). Mardi Gras season depends on Easter but it usually falls anywhere from mid February to late March (this year it was February).

Y'all should try it some time, fresh crawfish boiled at home with your family recipe is so fucking delicious and is just one of those really pure experinces you need to have when you visit a city as unique as New Orleans.

Sorry, I'm rambling. Tl;dr late February to mid March.

That shit's good bucko, how can you not enjoy straight up beef and pork? You some kind of sissy?

Lmao that pic is either shooped or some type of scale model. A "huge" crawfish down here is one that stretches tip to tail from the tip of your middle finger to the cusp of your palm. Most that you eat at a boil are between 2/3 and 3/4 of that size anyway.
But yeah our crabs and oysters are pretty big, super tasty.

Reread your post, at first I thought it said "quite big seafood", lel. Yeah, we're huge on seafood. Undeniably best in the country for everything except for lobster and whatever weird frufru fish they eat in Cali like Maki Maki or something.

Our oysters are 10/10

Lol where yat=where are you

I'm in nola right now but I'm from NELA. I've got a couple months of school left till I move off to Yankee territory

Lol that's what I thought at first, considering I'd only ever heard tourists use it to mean "how are you?" But, hey, ya never know.
>NELA
People live out there? Damn. How far Northeast, like Morehouse Parish area? Or some town just outside of Natchitoches?
>off to Yankee territory
For college of for work? Wouldn't blame you either way 2bh.

Are you Casey?
>>
All year desu. Our Barbies are often a bit too simple IMO though. Snags are fine but we can do so much better.
>>
>>56473954
I'm headed to DC, which might as well be Yankee territory as far as I'm concerned. And I'm from Ouachita, which is kinda the population center of the northeast. It's definitely alot more comfy than New Orleans in many ways though. The fucking construction here is about to drive me crazy
>>
>>56473609
Br meat is literally what people purchase when they can afford nothing else.
>>
>>56474021
>Ouachita
Ayy, don't you guys have a lake or something up there? I think I've been there before, many years ago. Comfy area iirc, suprisingly not as much of a Mississippi clone as some of the towns near the eastern border.
>the fucking construction here is about to drive me crazy
Tell me about it, I live uptown so we're surrounded by construction on all sides. Combined with the bumpy sidestreets and bad drivers it's really been Hell on the roads lately. But they say it'll all be done by 2018 so maybe I'll get to enjoy it a bit.
What's bringing you to D.C.?
>>
>>56473645
Well it's because they know it's true so it probably hurts. Have you ever been to Brazil, or Argentina or Chile? Everything they try to cook is shit.

>>56473670
Everything they cook is shit including their attempts to copy our food, which looks like American food but taste like cardboard. They should stick with their own shit so it will at least look unique. But still taste like cardboard.
>>
>>56474097
I'm gonna try to make something of my bullshit poli Sci degree when I move up. Hopefully I'll land a congressional staffer position or something.

And I'm stuck between Napoleon and Louisiana. It's literally hell on all sides. I don't understand what caused them to pursue construction on all the major north south uptown avenues at the same time.

And we've got a fuck ton of bayous, not really sure what lake you're talking about

There's a Brazilian restaurant by my local food court and it's pretty good. The meat looks so simple but it has a lot of flavor. Pic is from yelp reviews

Touro-Bouligny master race. Didn't know anyone else lived out here 2bh.

Probably what I'm thinking of, my mom works in environmental law so I used to travel with her to watersheds as a kid.

Good luck with your political career, hopefully we can finally get a decent senator. I ought to get some sleep now, best of luck to ya.

Damn that's crazy. I'm Milan here, right next to the killing streets. But have a good one man

Live in the center of the country, around 2000m high, it's dry and mild with fresh/cold nights, so we can do th.nearly all year long.
Regular season, when it's sunny and warm.enough to do it outside would be march to november.
But usually you can do it up to December when there are some very sunny and warm weekends , I had one around the 18th of DEC this year.
Same for February, funnily , while Nov and Dec where mild it was fairly cold until like two weeks ago.
