Yes, but luckily I don't work for an oil company. I don't think my job can be eliminated due to contract requirements. Even if a few things changed they're trying to get me into other areas of the company so my roles would just tweak if that were the case. Our other departments have suffered though and I've been on oil company floors doing inspections on days they were having hundreds of people laid off. People were afraid of me. I've probably seen about 30% of the smaller companies just disappear and I'm constantly hearing small talk that sometimes involves people saying good bye to each other since they think they're next on the chopping block.

Do you have any back up plans? I'd immediately look into E.I. I think you can apply for it in advanced so if you think the storm is coming it might be good to get on a list sooner rather than later if worse comes to worse.

Don't worry! Over the next year he'll add 30 billion onto the deficit to "build up the economy" and I think 60 billion in the years after.

In all seriousness his election has caused a lot of tension in East vs. west Canada since all the money they waste will just be on the Liberal riding in the east. Things are going to steadily get worse since we have no economic back up plans and provinces like Alberta are helpless until oil goes back up.

A commercial cleaning company. Even empty floors need to be dusted but a skyscraper that once had 130 curry cleaners now might have 70 due to reduced work. So many floors are empty or only 1/3 full and some tenants are trying to escape contracts completely and abandon empty floors. The other departments like admin, safety and IT are hanging on fine and these industries sort of desperately hang onto anyone who can speak English and work a printer without crying. The pay is shit and there's really no future job opportunities but it's better than being unemployed.

Pretty great, I have two potential employers and the second one was determined that he'd pay me more than the first employer if I went with him instead.

Depends...our living standards are lower than in Austria for example but we have no muslims and emigrants(5% of population) are good(mostly slovaks, ukranians and vietnamese) so its safe here. Beer is good, you can eat in restaurant almost every day thanks to food vouchers(benefit) and drugs are decriminilazed.

I make about 1.1k€/month

300€-rent in nice appartment in centrum of Prague

20€-monthly pass for trams, metro etc...public transport is very good here so no need of car

20€-uimited mobile plan and good internet at home

150€-food, very cheap with food vouchers(basicly 50% sale on food in supermarkets, restaurants etc)

Rest for partying(beer is €) and clothes

Only problem is that things like gadgets, electronics etc. cost the same like in Western Europe so uts expensive for us

Software outsorting is big business in Ukraine. Almost no taxes for contract work = shitloads of work from US and EU. Games, banking soft etc. Even Samsung had big R&D centre before war, don't know how it goes now. Recently talk with HR from Kyiv, they ready to pay 5K$ p/m usd after tax to right person...

I stayed unemployed for 1 year, but that was because I was too depressed to go drop curricula around. But once I got my shit together I got a job in less than 1 month.

Summer job at my folks' farm again, at least I get more money than from telemarketing since food gets paid by them. I didn't even bother applying to anything else since I hate filling online forms that are frustratingly similar yet different enough just so I can't just paste stuff. Plus if I hear anything from them afterwards it takes 4 months and it's always

United States. I've been a software consultant for three and a half years, since getting out of college. Pay is good, hours and travel kind of suck. I have to start going to Canada soon and I have to apply for a work permit. I can apply for proof of Canadian citizenship (technically I am a citizen because my father was born in Canada, but that's worthless without proof) to make working across the border easier.

I could also apply for Italian citizenship to work in the EU, but that's a long (1 year+) and painfully expensive ($3,000 USD plus to get all the paperwork certified, collected, and translated by an expert) and I'm not really sure I need it.

ESL isn't terrible. There are better paying jobs out there though. It's a good fallback option since the world will always need English teachers. You can probably teach in a ton of countries without a visa too. Think Laos or Myanmar are gonna check you for the right visas? F no. The world is your oyster with ESL senpai. You could even go somewhere more usual like Argentina or Poland. I guess most people just don't wanna do this because moving abroad is daunting for some people and teaching English is kind of gay.

I was jobless/underemployed/on shitty courses for 2 years after graduating. Now I've had this job 1,5 years that is related to my studies and previous summer jobs, but I'm not sure if I've really learned that much.

If I was kicked out tomorrow and I had to find a new job I have no idea how that would work out. I'm just an autist who manages to do some tasks in this particular workplace but it's not like I can do things from ground up etc

I'd love to live all around the world, the idea of living in one space for the next 60 odd years sounds awful. I know the pay isn't great but I don't want much material possessions considering I can't take them in my travels. A secure job that I can do around the world is more interesting to me than a high paying one

it's so surprising how so few people like to travel though. People around me only travel south for warm beaches in the winter and that's it. Booooring

Lots of people will say "travel" is one of their hobbies but few actually do it. Cold feet, too expensive, whatever. They don't want to make a lifestyle out of it I guess. It's more like a break from reality, instead of replacing reality itself.

Holy shit, and people say life's hard in Mexico, the only thing you have to do is:
1. Not being and awkward idiot and be friends with rich fags.

That's it, corruption and family/friend ties is the thing that keeps this country running.

I know I was just being sarcastic, but corruption is a thing down here, even in the most well established enterprises a job is by no means earned by your curriculum, 90% of the selection process is influenced by your confidence, appearance and family ties, maybe some bribing involved from time to time.
>>
>>56484933
Exactly the same, hermano.

Although I could have a offer in Germany if everything goes ok.
>>
>>56493515

You get desentized over the time. Telemarketing on the other hand is something I'm 100% sure you can't do in long term unless you have no soul, it's literally legal way of scamming old people their money and harassing people during working hours with shit wage.

>even in the most well established enterprises a job is by no means earned by your curriculum

While completely incompetent people don't get positions here, personal connections play a large part in basically every single country in the world when it comes employment.
