Farsi. Good literature, technically counts as learning three languages, and it sounds beautiful. The only problem is if I tried to do total immersion at any point in my life I would probably get put on the terrorist watch list. Also, it would be good if the language I knew was a good alternative to the U.S. if it becomes Sweden 2.0.

China is the second largest economy in the world and it has more native speakers than any other language. And I've been to China and enjoyed my time there.
Hard-mode: Italian.
I already speak English and German, so speaking Italian would mean that I'm able to speak all three relevant EU-languages. And that is nice.
Russian and Spanish are not so relevant to me because I don't want to visit Russia or Zika-land.

No, I honestly don't feel like French is particularly relevant. But I guess it's mostly down to personal preference. Neither language is relevant on a global scale.
If you like quiche and airplanes you should learn French, and if you like pizza and cars/motorcycles you should learn Italian. Italy makes better movies, too, in my opinion. And the country is a more interesting travel destination.

The colonies (french polynesia, reunion etc) are good travel destinations and the ex-colonies (mainly in west-africa) are developping at a steady pace.

I don't like, I don't want to learn it or speak it. But it'll probably be the most useful to me, so if I can skip the agony of learning something you hate and just "know" it, it's probably the best choice.
Italian (muh heritage), Arabic (arab speaking world is extremely large and it gives some of the best bang for your buck in terms of instantly learning a language), or Hebrew so I can become a Jew.
