I don't think China wants to get into it. They're playing their cards right, planning to overthrow America as the worlds leading economy in the next five years. War would see trade sanctions slapped on them like Russia, which would stall that plan. Not to mention, NK would burn itself out in a matter of hours becoming completely reliant on China. The main reason why we haven't brokered a deal with China to take back NK is no one actually wants to deal with the impoverished people. East Germany still shows the scars of reunification, a Korean unification would be at least ten times worse. The strain would effectively kill SK's economy and stop China from ever becoming the leading economical power.

China would not react kindly to nukes being dropped on their border. It'd be almost the equivalent of China nuking Cuba, only if Cuba was a USA ally and was connected to Florida. There's literally no way it wouldn't lead to war.
By the way, China may overtake the US in terms of GDP, but it'll at least take another 20-30 years for it to compete with it in terms of military prowess, diplomatic influence etc (if it ever does at all).
