Even in high school I had always had a insta boner for everything German related. Their resourcefulness, their craftsmanship, even their terrifying but cool sounding language. The fact that the same people who spawned Frederick the great also made amazing cars blew my mind.
I studied German instead of Spanish in high school, I looked at pictures of Hamburg, and prepared for a long, and eventually rewarding life as a German historian. I had already began to look up brochures for exchange programs in the Rhineland
This was before the age of multiculti. The age before Merkel decided to destroy European border security. The days before the historic Prussian ministry buildings were being used to house migrants.
I no longer study German history and instead I have been relegated to American history; a topic I know and also care less about. But not by choice. I would have gladly spent the rest of my life in Germany 10 years ago. But now the thought of such a rich history giving way to the biggest cuckholding of modern history is too much for me.
