How religious are Hungarians? And are they all just Catholic or are there other denominations with a significant presence?
>>
>>56310579
They are vile post-communists who have forsaken their Catholic heritage
>>
>>56310639
Are Croatians really religious?
>>
>>56310639
i prefer the term secular.
but sadly there are still plenty relifags in the country.
>>
>>56311571
I think it is you who is the fag
haha
>>
>>56310579
Majority doesn't really care.
When asked, many people would say they are Catholic/Protestans, but are not practicing.
Most actual practicing religious people are in the countryside (smaller towns or villages), and are mostly old people.
>>
>>56311571
>sadly
Why sadly? Also, vote Jobbik
>>
>>56310639
>Catholism
>good
>>
>>56311648

>vote for muslim cocksuckers
>>
>>56311959
i think that is just to piss in the jews mouth
also was pretty pre-migri move don't think they would dare to pull it now.
>>
They are traditionally Catholic with a large Calvinist (Protestant) minority mainly in the south-east of the country

Hungary is urbanised and largely secular cuntry nowadays

I remember there was a liberal and tolerant atmosphere in Budapest just a few years back, compared to Slovakia

I don't know how it is now with Fidesz and Jobbik
>>
>>56312010
I agree with that, but that just shows how much they lack an actual political concept, other than 'we hate da joos so we'll like anyone who they don't like'.
Or just substitute the jews with anything else.

>>56312041
Budapest is still pretty much a liberal city, not much changed in that regard.
>>
>>56312041
what changed mostly is people lost hope in a better political system.
they are also more fearful because the 2008 economic crisis is still affecting this country and the migration and everything doesn't look too shiny as for the future of europe.
and that radicalized a lot of people i guess who were before pro eu and liberal values and democrats.

disillusioned is the word i guess. many enjoys the pointless trolling orban and his crew does in brussels.
>>
>>56312229
>Budapest is still pretty much a liberal city, not much changed in that regard.
if not for the fact that like 90% of hungarian gdp is produced in budapest orban would bulldozer this city to the ground and sow the land with salt.
>>
>>56312361
And maybe he would build a superstadium with a mini-railway going around it just to show us he can.
>>
>>56311648
>Why sadly?
because religion ruins everything.
look at the sandniggers if you don't believe me.

reason and science is the way to go logic and dialogue and compromise. religion is just the polar opposite of the good we are capable of.

Seeing Hungary in its current state breaks my heart

In the 90s we, Slovak liberals, used to see Hungary as a model for democracy

I hope it gets better for your country. I think that you're culturally the closest nation to us, except for the language
>>
>>56312799
>I hope it gets better for your country.
the problem is even if people snap out of this political shitfest that is currently going on, the ruling party is ruining the infrastructure including healthcare education and public services they basically already dug the grave of the pension system and this results in everyone that can possibly move to pack and start moving to west. which in return will end in an unsustainable age tree real soon. as the gdp falls the robber barons will get more desperate and it will all accelerate just like in kosovo. after everyone left that can possibly leave all that remains is the pensioners that will starve to death if the eu closes the money tap.

there is no future in hungary that's what hit many people including me after 2010. it's game over. time to move on and have a life.

Not much. Everyone says they're Catholic when they're asked, but in reality nobody ever goes to churches, or ceremonies except when somebody gets married or dies.
However, if you question just how religious are they, if they don't go to church regularly, they will always be offended. It's hilarious, and there's much lols to be had if you can exploit this successfully.

I grew up in a Greek Catholic community, went to religious schools,so I'm an expert on how to subtly troll fake religious folks. You know the type. "hurr gay folks shouldn't get murried because of muh religion" but you just know they haven't stepped foot in a church in decades. I always enjoy getting a rise out of those retards who are only catholic by name.
Not that I'm religious. I just know the Bible and the church better than 90% of the people. In a way, I'm truly doing God's work, educating folks, teaching them humility, as He intends. The severe case of butthurt that follows is just a bonus.
>>
>>56312799
Sadly, imho it will take at least another decade to change back from this track.
The liberals fucked up in the 2000s by siding with the socialists, so in people's minds the left and the liberals are one and the same thing. And people got disillusioned in them in their 2002-2008 term - not without a cause, I should add. They did fuck up many things in that era. And Fidesz still largely plays on the fear of people that the left and liberals only want to ruin the country. They built up a narrative that whoever who is not with them, is against them, and not just them, but the country and the nation. So it's like a constant battle in many people's mind.
And many people who would oppose their policies have left the country, so all the harder to change back from this route.

>So it's like a constant battle in many people's mind.
that's the only thing orban can do mind you constantly battling against SOMETHING he was pretty desperate and pathetic in it in the beginnings it was funny to watch him squirm.

this migration thing fell out of sky into his lap like a biblical miracle. i can't even believe the media mentions his name on the same page with europes prominent politicians. this sad excuse for a gypsy jew thief who is the abused schizophrenic product of a dumb poor gypsy and his beatings. he only understands strength and violence because that is how he grew up. (i'm not making it up the interviews are all on the internet)

>>56313200
I'm an agnostic, but I grew up in a religious family and my uncle is a priest

It's disgusting how some people are just using Christianity as a cannon fodder for their nationalist and consevative ideology

Christianity contains a strong progressive message
>>
>>56313966
>Christianity contains a strong progressive message
i think it contains whatever the fuck the "wise guys" want it to contain.
altho i wouldn't call not using condoms progressive for instance.
it's funny to watch tho as you said how "christians" even priests scream to shut out the refugees not help them but kill them if they cross the border or deport them the fuck back to a war zone.

it's like they never read the bible or something.
>>
>>56314149
You need to read the Bible in its historical context. It wasn't written in the vacuum

Especially early Christianity was certainly progressive for its time

I agree with conservatives that Christianity forms a part of the bedrock of Western civilisation, but I'm sure they mean it in a different sense
