Not entirely true. Some places are dry, but they're all tiny villages where people would drink themselves to death if they could. The actually populated parts have booze readily available. The local liquor store (Fairbanks) looks like a fucking department store.

Whatever do you mean? Cold is lovely. When it gets colder, you can always put on more clothes, but if it gets too hot it's pretty hard to take off more clothing if you're already naked.
