What are the typical cultural interests of normal Japanese adults?
This is something I've been wondering about for some time now. I gather that anime and videogames are not generally well-regarded in Japan, despite their popularity in the west, so what do Japanese adults actually enjoy? From what I've seen, pretty much all live-action TV and film made in Japan these days is complete shit.
