I was in Cozumel last year and I loved it. The people were properly decent, especially considering it was a big holiday destination. You could actually talk with them without someone trying to sell you shit or get your money.
I enjoyed the way there don't seem to be Lanes in the road, but everyone somehow manages anyway.

Went to Cancún 2 years back and they gave me shit tons of refilled food and beer for 15 peso's. Quite a few beggers about but staff would just chase them off with a broom. They also hated the way I look (think I looked American to them) but turned really friendly when they heard my accent. Overall I personally had a pretty good time there and enjoyed chatting with the locals but I can see why you have a reputation (taxi driver was drunk as fuck and wouldn't stop shouting at us in spanish, trash everywhere and drug dealers on every block)

London isn't UK anymore. It's just a mix of various different cultures that don't even interact with each other. Living in London is a meme that only JFs fall for, usually people with jobs in London just commute from an area outside of London.
Also, the Brits that go on holiday to Spain and the rest of Southern Europe aren't really representative of the entire population. Usually the ones that go there are just chavs that behave like shit at home as well as abroad.
