Depends on the product. These days different nations have different products they excel at. Japanese make great woodworking tools. The germans still make the best metalworking and power tools, except for precision indicators and micrometers, in which case Starrett in Massachusetts is tops.
Electronics all come from china anyway, but japan makes excellent DC motors.
I have a real soft spot for old Swedish cars and engines, though i own two austrian built motorcycles which are truly pieces of work.
Just buy the best quality shit. I'm not going to favor an import over american made shit outright, but I'm not going to buy american if there is a clearly superior product available from elsewhere.
