People think Croatia is great country because they see pictures of Dubrovnik or islands etc. But guess what, I've never been in Dubrovnik or to islands. I haven't been to the sea for almost 10 years now. When people go there they it's mostly like one week and they try to save as much money they can because accommodation is expensive so it's not as great as those pictures may seem. Also, youth unemployment is second highest in Europe(or EU, not sure) and it's most likely I won't get a job in a few years after graduating college. That's why young people are leaving. There are even Croatian neighbors in Dublin now.

Another Croat here. Our country is the bomb. Beautiful weather, diverse nature, clean sea, excellent cultural tradition, hot girls, a crossroads of west and east so we get great culinary mixes as well. Safety is high, we don't lock our houses even, (motor)bikes are left anywhere, last time the police here did work was when they caught a man sucking fuel from cars and reselling it, he ended up laughed by the entire neighbourhood and relocated in shame. Can't remember last time a murder happened here...and we do own guns
