What do you think of this flag?
Does it look better than Brazil's current flag?
nope
>>56008969
Much better
green is a pretty shitty color for a flag.
replace the green bar with just a double thick yellow one, and its ok
crux australis makes it look like some strayan province
>>56008969
Nah
>>56008969
Yes.
Good taste on flags anon.
>>56008969

You're an idiot desu. This has always been on our flag.
Is that a rip off Aussie flag?
>>56009121
>idiot
rude desu
>>56009081
Daily reminder green and gold were our national colours even before australia was a thing
new brazilian flag
r8
Why are the stars like that? There is an extra one in the right
>>56009063
>crux australis
The southern cross is a big symbol for us m8
>>56009121
Sorry I always saw the "ordem e hue hue" over some dots
>>56008969
Might be more favorable to other Brazilians if it has the rest of the stars on it
>>56009193
Have you ever gone out at night?
That is literally how the southern cross looks like
>>56009215
>>56009121
it was australian first, m8
>>56009189
shitty
too busy
too many colors
too much small detail
>>56009252
It doesn't matter who used it first.
>>56009189
10/10 would salute every single day
>>56009252
No it wasn't, it's oficially our symbol since the proclamation of the Brazilian Republic, and it people used it as a symbol for Brazil even before that.
>>56009247
Yeah, i just don't pay attention to those things. Does the southern cross have such an importance as to be in a flag?
>>56009236
You might say the other states are not represented, but that is where the magic is.
We have five regions (south, north, northeast, southeast and center-west), there are five stars in the cross, and the position of the stars actually match the shape of the country.
Simplicity, beauty and meaning.
>>56009176
okay, keep the colours, they don't mean anything anyway
>>56009353
ah, very nice then
>>56009414
fuck, i forgot to delete that name :>
>>56009315
>
They used it as a symbol before
>>56009330
>it's oficially our symbol since the proclamation of the Brazilian Republic
Yeah, and Australians use it since before that
>>56009456
Caralho Mathias...
>>56009481
>since before the early XIXs
Yeah, no.
>>56008969
I'm conflicted.
For one part I love the "Ordem e PROGRESSO" got erased.
The blue background is nice and all, but the southern cross reminds me more of the southern pacific tbqh familia.
The stripes aren't good.
>>56009481
The stars are older than Brazil and Australia.
>>56009563
most intelligent reply ITT desu desu desu
>>56009481
M8 it has been on our flag long before australia was even a country
don't even come to me with "b-but this autralian company had a southern cross in it!"
>>56009512

>>56009603
So, once the government changes, all history is erased?

The southern cross represent the south hemisphere, period, and as >>56009353 said it matches perfectly as our flag.
The stripes are good.
>>56009660
>the Anti Transportation League represents Australia
Lad pls
>>56009660
What government?
Australia was United Kingdom back them.
I like the whole circle in a rhombus thing you already have, it's unique.
Bad meme
>>56009907
Good lad, I like it too.
>>56009775
>
It was a company created by those who lived in Australia and supported by most Australians, so it represented Australia
>>56009777
Yeah, that's right
The government was under UK control, then it got out
All history from before it was freed is erased, right?
>>56010006
No, where did I imply that?
Only because a group inside the colony used it doesn't mean it is an strictly australian symbol.
>>56009907
(OP here)
Actually, I like both. I agree with you when you say that our current one is pretty unique, but this one is more beautiful in its simplicity and says just as much.
