What the OP should have said is that Chinese explorers like Zheng He traveled the world before Europeans (using the Chinese invention of the compass) and instead of enslaving them / stealing their resources like Europeans, the Chinese tried to trade with them and ultimately decided they were superior to everybody else and isolated themselves.
