With all due respect to MP...don't be obtuse

>British "Humor":
>Oy m8 FOY
>American "Humor":
>WHITE PEOPLE
>*gasp*, a woman is audibly crying
>ARE AWFUL
>wild clapping, cheering, the woman crying is doing a full rosary to honor god for giving her such a wonderful joke

>humour
>>55855368
So fucking cringey
>hey 4chang peoples we're being funy rite????
British. With the exception of the office all our versions of their shows are always trash as fuck and unfunny
>>55855470
this is true, Steve Carell defined that show, the best acting I've seen him do
but the American version of Shameless is extremely meh
>>55854675
British humour is much more witty, which I like
American humour tends to be obnoxious, or have to spell it out in other words
British >American IMO
also, standup is absolute trash, anyone who watches it regularly should eel bad
I like British humor more, although Americans can really play upon US-exclusive tropes well. Like this:

Subtle, funny, and Americans all know what it's about.
American
American definitely has the better spelling.
>>55854675
no feelings one way or another
>>55856988
Hate the way words look without the u but I always hate the spelling of words like centre without the re ending rather than the er. using Z for S is ugly too.
>>55854675
For TV shows? Definitely British
For stand up? Definitely American, usually blacks.
I think African Americans are really good at making memes
>>55857822
>blacks
DAY BE KKK NIGGERS YO
Monty Reddit is good at times but mostly overrated
The Office is a complete rip-off of Christopher Guest's infinitely better, more layered and more nuanced comedy
The /r/IT Crowd is garbage
Black Books is OK
Blackadder is good
Peep Show is definitely patrician. Too bad Mitchell & Webb aren't funny when smarter people aren't writing for them
Everything else is pretty formulaic and derivative
Stephen Fry put it best when he said that American irony is much more subtle than British irony, which Brits confuse for lacking irony. Brits rely too much on sarcasm or over-use irony to the point that it's neither unexpected nor terribly funny, just repetitive and cynical, which IMO is pretty pleb
>>55854675
british banter ofc
>>55854718
thats some top notch banter steve, see ya down at the pub at six
>>55855901
I watch Shameless USA but i do it litteraly just for Lip because i find part of myself in his character, the rest of the shit i mostly don't care about
oi lad monty python reall good innit hah cracks me roight up it does
>>55854675
British humor has always striked me as absolutely autistic and unfunny, so I'm voting US humour.
>>55854675
British humour is sophiscated and witty
American humor is crude and simple
Both can be hilarious, but purely on comedic value brits all the way.
>>55855470
>BUS TUUUURDS

>American humor is crude and simple
i think dane cook is responsible for this stereotype
western humor is all the same
>>55857905
American humour is great.
