The American intervention was irrelevant to what side would have won WW1, as we didn't come in on the German side. If we came in on the German side, then it might have affected the outcome, but because we came in on the side that was already winning by the time we declared war we had no affect on who won. We affected the Treaty of Versailles, as we advocated for not totally raping Germany and the treaty was too light because of it.
