It has classic commie propaganda: the faceless, hard working proletariat and the fascist, individualistic Germans (see the barn burning scene).
Still, its nice to see some Belarussian countryside, virsuja and jalkarättejä and indeed, very psychological and even surreal film elements.
One guy even wears kirza boots, with sole model that was introtruced in the 60's (the tractor tyre style, which is still present in kirza boots made in Russian federation).
