only mulled wine

Bullshit map, I doubt there are many countries with higher wine consumation than us, even old people drink a lot of wine here. Due to climate many produce their own wine so it might be that those are not considered.

>pork

That was in the old testament.
In Matthew 15:11 (new testament) Jesus said "It is not what enters into the mouth that defiles the man, but what proceeds out of the mouth, this defiles the man."
While it wasn't directly addressed to the prohibition of pork, seafood and some other stuff mentioned there, most scholars agree that its meaning applies to that too.

>>55023839

I don't think he meant fasting, mate. Especially since almost all Christian branches have different views on what to eat and drink and on what not to eat and drink during that.

Yeah, I remember now that the churches refer to saint paul on this matter.

Act 10 of the Acts of the Apostles:
Act 10:9¶
On the morrow, as they went on their journey, and drew nigh unto the city, Peter went up upon the housetop to pray about the sixth hour:

Act 10:10
And he became very hungry, and would have eaten: but while they made ready, he fell into a trance,

Act 10:11
And saw heaven opened, and a certain vessel descending unto him, as it had been a great sheet knit at the four corners, and let down to the earth:

Act 10:12
Wherein were all manner of fourfooted beasts of the earth, and wild beasts, and creeping things, and fowls of the air.

Act 10:13
And there came a voice to him, Rise, Peter; kill, and eat.

Act 10:14
But Peter said, Not so, Lord; for I have never eaten any thing that is common or unclean.

Act 10:15
And the voice spake unto him again the second time, What God hath cleansed, that call not thou unclean.

Therefore god has made the unclean animals of the old testament clean again. That's bullshit you think? Welcome to the abrahamic religions, I guess.

Yes. I dont know why people bother with old world wines though, since way more often than not the quality/value you get from elsewhere is so much better.

>NZ Marlborough sauvignon blanc - this is just unsurpassed.
>Australian shiraz (all varieties) beats those from elsewhere always
>Chile has some absolutely brilliant wine brands - can highly recommend the offerings of 35 South, Casillero del Diablo, Cono Sur, Castillo de Molina

Never had a bad wine from Georgia, Slovenia and Hungary are also very underrated. I once tried a pomegranate wine from Armenia which was particularly good and I dont usually like sweet wines.

I once had the pleasure to drink Georgian wine - not too acidic or sweet, dense, those guys know their shit - stuff's good.

If you don't mind some advice, try Argentinian wine. Depending on your tastes, you might find it better than Chilean. I recommend specially the Pinot Noir they produce in Mendoza Province.
>>
>>55024609

At parties ÅŸpriÈ› as in dry wine with sparkly water, socially half dry no water and champagne(not real champagne from champagne) when celebrating, half sweet then
>>
>>55024882

Well yeah, by these lines Christians are allowed to eat what was formerly seen as unclean by the jews (when not fasting of course).
I mean if you think that is a stupid explanation I'd have to agree but what can you do?

this.

wine is for women or fags. Real men drink vodka, whiskey, rum etc..

Also recently discovered kirsch in pic related. Its a well done cherry brandy mostly around 40% alcohol with a top notch taste. Its german drink and made in germany, austria and some parts of switzerland. I don't know why don't germanfags market it better. Its pretty underrated and most people don't know what is kirsch.

You might be more surprised than I am - the whole region makes some fantastic wines, but aside from the occasional standout Chianti, I'm sworn to Syrah/Shiraz.
