*MOST DEPRESSING COUNTRIES IN THE WORLD*
the irony
enjoying drugs that cause happiness ≠ depressed
>>54847645
antidepressants are taken when you ARE depressed.
>>54847031
>Brazil
>Fifth place
>>54847031
Why is Bulgaria so happy?
>>54847813
What's the problem, kiddo?
>>54846862
>>54847031
>Iceland

>>54847645
>antidepressants cause happiness
baka desu senpai
more like countries which treat depression seriously
>>54847031
This is proof that those happiness ratings are bullshit. None of those countries are happier than the US.
>>54847871
It makes us happy seeing how miserable you are.
>>54847995
...None of those countries are happier than the US...
>>54847939
youre just saying that because youre depressed
>>54847995
Yeah, we got it, US is the best in everything, even at being happy. Now get out.
>>54846862
>Lithuania not on the list
>>54847995
>our unhappy people get less treatment than yours
>"hapiness ratings are bullshit"
>Spane/Poortugal
>Sun flaring in your face all year (OK maybe a little less in Galicia etc but nobody lives there)
>still depressed
Cannot understand desu, here it's constant overcast autumn from November to February, and the very few days there's sunshine (like last Saturday with 14°C) I genuinely feel better and more active
>>54847031
I wouldn't have tought bulgarians can be that merry.
>>54848248
Putting people on meds is a poor solution to treat depression if done alone. What this says is that your doctors and citizens are just administering and taking a lot of drugs. Ironic that America has advertisements for meds and is generally known for pill pushing but still doesn't make the list.
>>54846862
>Portugal in 3rd place. I call it bullshit
>>54848484
well yeah because the American method of dealing with depression is to man up
>>54846862
Jesus,if Brazilians are happy with their current conditions imagine if they went to europe
>>54848337
lack of money and anxiety over future cause depression too
>>54848543
Apparently it works, unlike your method of dealing with depression which is hating and bullying others and/or each other.
> implying these countries are more depressing than France.
>>54848837
>France more depressing than the UK
you sure?
>>54848837
You have finally beaten Britain for once, enjoy your moment while it lasts.

Science research have confirmed that gloomy weather does make people depressed. When its gloomy and rainy here i do feel depressed as well, when its shining and warm i feel much better regardless of what im doing.

>>54849108
Same here, but at least stuff is green from March to November, while in the mainly snowless and overcast winter everything looks grey, brown and dead
>>54849428
>lel brazil ?
>>54849622
It's in the UK.
Literally all these UK graphs look similar.
>>54846862
Depression is a sign of intelligence. Bulgaria is "happy" because you're ignorant to the truth.
>>54849739
Im sorry for you dude :(
>>54846862
Hungary is not on the list, since it's too poor to purchase antidepressants.
>>54849267
yeah i've noticed my mood correlating with the weather here often too
which is usually pretty shit during the winter (and we don't even get snow anymore) but at least we have the occasional clear/warm day, even in these months
>>54849461

"JUST ENJOY THE SUNSHINE BRAH"
Literally the "just be yourself meme"... This chart is the proof that northerners live in absolute delusion.
>>54846862
That map is just for Europe I believe, ~10% of Americans use antidepressants, which would put us 2nd on that list.
>>54852024
I didn't notice Canada and Australia when I posted this, why was the U.S. omitted?
>>54851246
Canadians seem like bros too. Y'all need to cheer the fuck up
>>54851521

In the case of Spain it is because a lot prescribe antidepressants by doctors when symptoms associated with depression, which in most cases do not use drugs but a simple therapy actually use antidepressants in mild depression would require it is counterproductive.
The high frequency of use of antidepressants is that the government heavily subsidizes these drugs, which poses no economic problem for patients, but it becomes due to irresponsible use because SSRIs weaken the serotonergic system, decreasing the efficiency of the receptors and decreasing endogenous serotonin production, which causes chronic use in many cases.
In short, the high use of antidepressants is not directly linked to the generalized depression of his porblación, but misuse of prescriptions by doctors, and easiness to get cheaply by consumers.
>>54847031
This is a maymay index that shouldn't be taken seriously
>>54847031
how the fuck do they even calculate this?
Like, -0.233 change in happiness from 2012 to 2014, comes across as a fucking civ game to be desu
>>54846862
