What's it like to visit a rural European village whose people have been living in the same squalid hole for thousands of years?

Boring and full of old people.

>>53937156
My village has only 122 inhabitants, and a density of 7,2 inhabitants/km2 . I love it
>>53939520
do ghosts live there
>>53939190
It does. In Spain too, even especially in Spain.
Germany, France, parts of Italy and the Balkans are full of old as fuck villages where people might have been living literally since humanity settled there with occasional abandoning, pillage and stuff but people often return.
Reasons for that are plenty. Fertile ground, naturally inaccesible, proximity of water, not urbanized and inherited through generations. Those things were the same requirements always.
Now we have roads and electricity, but the village always was and always will be unaffected by the politics and changes much.
>>53939545
Nobody wants to live among the French.
>>53939545
no, just old peoples
>>53939190
We have plenty of such villages. Nothing ever happens there.
Everything is calm and boring. Green landscape. White people.
Everyone knows each other and new people get looked at.
They also don't talk to strangers out of themselves. Not even in a social setting.

romania maybe,
>>53939686
How the modern tribe should be, civil but standoffish.

>you'll never be white old man in netherland villages, sitting alone on a rocking chair in your own perch while watching ducks and listening the sound of clean ditch stream
>>53940223
You don't watch ducks, you feed ducks senpai.
>>53939520
I'd kill myself desu
>>53940297
People often get a new bread every day. So old bread usually gets ditched at local "animal meadows" or given to ducks and birds.
Such places exist everywhere in Balkans and eastern Europe, nothing much happens what do you expect, human sacrifices? My grandpa in his village once kept 20 pigs, we are then all over a 5 year period
>>53940431
>My grandpa in his village once kept 20 pigs, we are then all
That's uncharacteristically honest of you to admit.
>>53939520
Does it have its own church where everyone attends?
>>53940464
I even make popcorn with pig fat for the aroma, I wish my grandpa didn't pass away so we could enjoy his fresh pigs to this day
>>53937156
Too comfy for words to describe.
Heaven on earth
>>53937156
A dream.
>>53940431
But Balkans are like animals.
>>53939520

>>53940762
Residents of those villages are old as fuck people and shopkeepers that earn on tourism. Most of them live, work and educate themselves elsewhere.
>>53940523
And a town rapist of course
>>53940933
Probably mostly incest.
>>53940826

This idea is so romanticized, in reality 90% of these posters wouldn't stay in an isolated village lol
