During 6 years of Boris Yeltsin in Russia has increased the budget 712 times (from 316 bn. In 1991 to 225 TRILLION ROUBLES in 1997)

GDP increased in 2879 times (from 0.89 trillion rubles in 1991 to 2,562.6 TRILLION ROUBLES by 1997)

The average wage in Russia increased in 1800 times (from 500 rubles. In 1991 to 900 THOUSAND ROUBLES in 1997)

The average pension in Russia increased in 1459 times (from 220 rubles. In 1991 to 321 THOUSAND ROUBLES in 1997)

He stopped cold war, became friends with all the countries of the West, has chosen the European path for Russia's development.

Also destroyed the poor shittyunion that completely priceless.

By January 1998, the dollar fell to 5562 rubles \ dollar up to 5 rubles per dollar.

The prices of all products have fallen a thousand times, bread cost 3.6 rubles, sugar 12 rubles \ kg, potatoes 3.5 rubles \ kg.

Yeltsin, for all the fails had been one of the best rulers of Russia. Not because he was awesome, but because others were worse. It is the first time for a thousand year history Russians gave freedom, the ability to engage in business, the ability to acquire ownership of the land and travel abroad with impunity be believer or atheist, and even made an unsuccessful, but still attempt to get Russia to the normal path of development.

So why do you hate this greates man for?

Nominal measurement.

Everyone is afraid of Russia so the ruble devalues a lot. That makes Russia's economy look worse even though in reality it produces the exact same shit as last year (actually it went down 3.5%).

Measuring an economy can be done in two way. Nominal or PPP. PPP tries to adjust for the fact a dollar in Russia buys more goods than a dollar in Norway.
In Russia's case PPP is much more accurate. For states that are not under sanctions, nominal is better.

Also, oil's collapse had 0 to do with Ukraine. If anything it made the price go up for a few months (Crimea was March while oil peaked in July).

The collapse had two catalysts.
OPEC in November 2014 chose a market share strategy, and the world economy slowed.

>>
>>53916463
It's good bait.

He is measuring the economy in NOMINAL ruble terms. Russia had 100,000% inflation over 1991-2000 so the ruble went into hyperinflation.

That means even though everyone was way poorer under Drunk Slav, they all earned 1000x rubles.

So just as accurate?

How did it feel to supposedly lose 4% of your economic power because of a few words from one guy?
Surely nominal measurement is the most reasonable and accurate measure of economic power.

Go fuck yourself. Currencies aren't freely traded and momentum trades, behavioral economics, and sanctions all fuck with Nominal measurements.

By WHY did ruble devalued so much?
Their total exports in 2015 weren't even half a trillion $$$. This can't be about oil prices. In no year ever did Russia export trillion worth of crude but their nominal GDP tanked by trillion.

Sanctions effectively didn't do a thing to Russia's economy.

Oil's 80% decrease did.

Brits and Jews are perfidious masterminds, but even they aren't perfect. No one foresaw oil's collapse. If they did then America wouldn't have invested 2$ trillion in our oil industry.
>>
People will invest in Russian oil commodities since it's at an all time low, demand will increase for oil and therefore the decreasing supply will mean the price will increase again. So oil will be valuable just around the time that Russia learn how to efficiently harvest it in Siberia (plus the oil rights part of the Antarctic Treaty will expire soon, so Russia will be able to drill there).
>>
>>53916710
I may have misunderstood your original point. Were you implying that PPP has any correlation to the general population's quality of life? Because high PPP when 1% of the population owns about 86% of the total wealth is not an "accurate" indication whatsoever, and in this instance both countries apply to this.
>>
>>53916793
Already explained.

Nominal is local currency versus Dollar value. If everyone gets afraid that the ruble will devalue, they sell their rubles for dollars.
Everyone knew Russia was going to stagnate in 2014 because of oil's collapse. But because no one wants a guaranteed small loss, they all sell their rubles trying to get in front of the crowd.

Russia's GDP dropped 4% since peaking in June 2014. A guaranteed 4% drop in Ruble fair value. Everyone knew that was coming so they sold rubles. But when you do that a 4% depreciation turns into a 20 then a 40 then a 60.
This depreciation leads to inflation, capital outflows, and eventually an even worse recession.

Self-fulfilling prophecy.

it's funny because while Russia will suck for a while, it's nothing compared to how bad Western Europe is going to be

Germany will get another 1.5 million refugees and the country will literally explode
the debt to pay for the freeloaders will skyrocket and ethnic clashes will be a daily thing
Sweden about the same

The UK will leave the European Union but won't be able to uncuck themselves because they will keep importing niggers and sands from ''muh empire''. Actually leaving the EU will shatter what's left of the UK industry

France is already in a worst situation than Russia, they just hide it better.Unemployment has been increasing non-stop, debt can't be stopped. Sarkozy will get reelected and keep importing niggers and sands because ''muh empire'' too.

And then there's the incoming financial storm. It'll be ''gg'' for Southern European countries, all will have to default and their banks (Italy and Greece) are imploding already).

But the Anglocuck prefers to look at Russia to make himself feel better...

Saudis are cretins and have cornered themselves.
They went all in on removing Assad and getting the pipeline for future profits. Now that's not going to happen, because Iran and Russia are also in and there's nothing that Saudi backed mercenaries can do.

What's left for Saudis? Nothing, they pushed oil prices lower hoping to keep Russia out, but Russia raised the post and went in. All Saudis can do, and that's what they are doing is to keep lowering prices, hoping that Russia will eventually take the damage and leave or seek compromise.
However Russia is already taking the damage and can survive. Saudis rely entirely on foreign personnel in all sectors with the highest salaries in the world, because otherwise noone would work there and Saudi universities produce nothing but religious fanatics. Russia on the other side has its own actually quality STEMs.
I assume Kerry has promised Saudis the IMF money when Saudis will run out completely but that's yet to be seen.

That's called ingenuity.
Those bombers don't have MFD's, so this is what they came up with.
Americans spent $50 million inventing a pen that works in space. Russians take a fucking pencil.
Get rekt.

Did you hear the speech afterwards - from NATO representative - PRACTICE CALM / PEACE PRACTICE CALM / PEACE PRACTICE CALM / PEACE PRACTICE CALM / PEACE. That tells a lot to me. Russia released proper data, you can cry all you want, Western partners, there is always a price to pay.

Because the alternatives are literally Communists, Ultranationalists (like in CoD 4), and a few socialist liberals.

The issue with Western sanctions is that now Putin has a scapegoat for the economy. When it's partly his fault for investing so much in oil.

Both Russian ground control and Syrian air defense said the plane was never in Turkish airspace.

>MOST EVIDENCE ?? SHOW ME ?? Russia gave actual intel, it was an ambush. You and your Turkish bitches were trying something but ended up getting bitch slapped )).
Except they provided zero evidence while others did. Also an ambush would be something like a SAM site setup not interceptors. Russia lost a plane so I'm not sure how the US or Turkey got bitch slapped.

>You are saying those regions have the right to self proclamation, when why the hell do you bother if Crimea used said right and joined Russia later ??
I don't remember anyone here (the U.S. not 4chan) ever mentioning Kashmir and all of Yugoslavia Balkanized in a war. Russia just annexed part of one of its neighbours in violation of an agreement to respect the borders of Ukraine (we and the UK also signed it).

85% of Russians support Putin.

They have some new liberal parties starting up. Maybe they can one day help Russia.

Turks are going to say it was, Russkies are going to say it wasn't. It doesn't matter since there is nobody impartial in there to verify either.

>>
>>53919167
Show me your evidence of your said ''incursion''.

You see there are many players in this game you are playing in Syria. A SAM ambush would be very easily picked by Russian RADARs. Instead its YOUR F16 that crosses into the Syrian Airspace and shoots down a jet that is on a mission to bomb ISIS and poses 0 threat to Turkey.

While Turkey doesnt cease violating Greece's airspace - AT ALL )))

Regarding Crimea - you should mention those states, because you used the same law.

http://www.un.org/esa/socdev/unpfii/documents/DRIPS_en.pdf

Read this a few times because you are very thick )) They did not violate any law. Crimea PROCLAIMED ITS INDEPENDENCE FROM UKRAINE. THEN Crimea did a vote to join Russia. Russia accepted.

These are the facts.

>>53919352

Its not from /k/ originally it was from some military aircraft fanboy site and jalopnik (not sure of spelling). It probably is a Garmin but it's using Russia's own brand of GPS GLONAS so not sure the accuracy is the same). If they knew were they are it makes it worse and they have a history of violating airspace.

By the way not letting the space industry experts end up in best korea and alike was one of the reasons why nasa worked with russians back in 90s, bought a lot of different shit from russia and finally got involved in the space station project (paying for the FGB/Zarya in the process). Thanks for saving our space industry in dire times based Murica, too bad we are headed to finally wreck it this time.

Or maybe it's a master ruse. After all, one of the main reasons oil prices are falling is the fact that US of A and other countries are producing oil and therefore threatening OPEC. They can't limit production like they could in the past.
