What does /int/ think about Super Mario 64?
>>53899075
Good game 2bh, la.
>tfw the only person on the planet that hated SM64 because of the stupid as fuck camera angles
Turok was better tb_h
>>53899075
Good game...Fun... Me like
>>53899075
Average platformer which turned into a meme game because of nostalgia.
Seriously though, it's a nice game, but really nothing that special, as the Internet proclaims.
I enjoyed it a lot, I got all the stars, got to go see Yoshi on the castle roof.
Other top N64 games
>Zelda Ocarina and Majora
>Star Wars with Dash Rendar
>Castlevania
>007 Goldeneye
>Mario Kart
>>53903041
>forgetting Turok 1+2, Perfect Dark, Body Harvest, Buck Bumble, Blast Corps, Pilotwings 64, Vigilante 8, Star Wars Rogue Squadron/Ep 1 Racer, Waverace 64, 1080 snowboarding, Conkers Bad Fur Day, F-Zero X, Killer Instinct Gold, Doom 64, Mario Party and Pokemon Stadium
>>53903206
>Pilotwings 64
It was ok
>Star Wars Rogue Squadron
Isn't that the Dash Rendar one I mentioned?
>Ep 1 Racer
It was ok
>Waverace 64
Totally forgot, based game
>1080 snowboarding
It was ok
>Mario Party
No
>Pokemon Stadium
I'm not 15 so definitely no
>Never heard of, played, or cared about the rest of them
I did forget Tony Hawk too, which was good
>>53899075
Mario from SM64 probably the most powerful video game character ever, being able to move at speeds that are multiples of the speed of light and cross to other universes in a blink of an eye
>>53903333
>Isn't that the Dash Rendar one I mentioned?
Could be but it's been like 16 years since I played it and fucking impossible to emulate or pirate a PC version.
>pokemon stadium
>15
You're kidding right?
>Never heard of, played, or cared about the rest of them
You missed out on a fuck ton of GOAT 64 games then, did your parents hate you?
It's got a pretty sweet soundtrack

Is this part of that half A-press meme?
I couldn't watch the full video, it was too autistic, but I do remember those bug things being involved.
Very good 10/10
t. Nostalgia man

I just watched the whole fucking video

It's a sad sight to see that no game since let's you re-live your bloodlust by shooting the screaming corpse over and over gain.
And the sound effects...

>>53903333
best game on n64 desu

>>53904655
And the blood trails, shooting up corpses multiple times will never ever be so much fun as it was on Turok.

>dat grenade launcher
Also, ever played Rage Wars?
>>53904986
Quad launcher was GOAT
But nah, gave Rage Wars a try on an emulator and it seemed aight, but like most 64 games you had to play it when it was a thing to appreciate it.
>>53904717
Looks nice, too bad the samples they used for the music sound like the Windows MIDI soundfont though.

>can't enjoy Aero Gague OST
Your loss, Æ’am. N64's USF had plenty of variable charm.

Who else play this beaut? One of the first 3D non-linear games, Devs went on to become Rockstar Games and used this game for inspiration to make the first 3D GTA
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Body_Harvest
>tfw it will never be emulated properly without some game breaking glitch
I'm hellbent on getting all the stars in the chaos edition, even if it'll take my entire life to do so.

Heard great things. Lot of N64 classics I missed out on at the time before emulation and it has been a hit-and-miss bitch of a situation for half of them, you're right.
Guess PlayStation fans won out in the end. That or it was always criminally easy to replicate on x86 systems. Pepsiman's still a fucking blast.
>>53905384
Nah, I'm not saying the tunes are bad, it's just that it would have been better if they used the better version of these samples (the ones that were available on the real Roland Sound Canvas MIDI units).
The song you posted is pretty cool.

>mind=blown when it was just the first level
>>53905656
Still so fucking strange how we can't properly emulate some N64 games to this day, programmers must have really known their shit.

God, I didn't ask for these memories. I remember I used to play this with my cousin when we were close. Man does time fly
>>53899075
loved it. I mean, despite the fact that my thumb had to be amputated, N64 and mario was lots of fun.
>>53904967
This is some next level autistic shit.
>>53905742
I suppose it could be likened to low-depth Doom music because of shitty soundcards in some way, yeah.
Still loved it, though, because I raced the shit out of that grey, little GamePak then gifted it to my best friend so he could do the same.
>>53906156
Best track right here, especially being played against a frag tag match while you're butting heads with bots and friends over who gets to kill this little shit. It was a stroke of genius and a good while before TimeSplitters came along with a similar idea of adding nano-Oddjobs into the fray of offbeat deathmatch.
