It's kind of the same here, our manufacturing and tourism has really suffered but on the other hand now our oil industry is completely fucked which provides good paying jobs. Tourism and manufacturing are like minimum wage shit.
Also for every 1cent different with the USD, our food cost goes up 1%. So compared to when 1 CAD = 1USD our food costs 30% more which sucks.

Our Agricultural, Mining and Education sectors which make our service sector sustainable. Asian university students for instance are one of the reasons why our education is relatively cheap.

Part of our problem was Conservatives put all their eggs in one basket during the 100 dollars a barrel oil boom. Now I think it's 29 dollars and we have no money. So now everyone is scrambling to try and invest in manufacturing exports or tourism.
