Can someone explain to me why this is supposedly a popular beer? Everytime I try it, it takes like skunk shit. Heineken is another dogshit beer. Do other non Europeans feel like they're being subtly trolled into trying this garbage again and again thinking it will be good eventually and you just got a bad batch?
>>
>>53788936
It's mid-tier, a little better than Heineken imho.
Foreigners will buy anything if you market it right
>>
>>53788936
>like skunk
I think it is from storing it wrong temperature, or it was old ,and green bottles don't help.
>>
>>53789088
It could be. I don't know if I'm just unlike or what, but Mexican beer is better than this.
>>
>>53788936

In europe there is actually a lot of good beer, but I don't not why stella or heineken are popular, it's shit compare to god-tier beer in bars. And even in bottles and caps some are good.
>>
Because it's the Budweiser of Europe.
>>
Stella Is to Europe as Coors light is to America. It's just cheap drinkable beer, it's just a lot better. Don't over think it.
>>
>>53789528
Australia has some good microbrews. Too bad most Australians can only afford goon and VB.
>>
>>53789441
No
>>
>>53789580
I'd rather drink something that tastes like nothing like Coors light than European macro lager. Their mass produced beer is borderline sour and often skunked because they don't believe in dark bottles.
>>
>>53788936
yeah, but somehow we loved heineken so much we make our own heineken based brand.
bud beers on the other hand are complete indian cowpiss, they're failed product
>>
>>53788936
Because in the cheap beer tier (lager, weiss) she is the best one. I would rather drink her than a Foster or a Budlight.
>>
>>53789088
The skunk taste/aroma is from light interacting with the beer. Green bottles do a shit job at keeping out light hence why beers in green bottles are skunky
>>
>>53789626
yes
>>
>>53788936
its like a better heineken. not expensive and not shitty so its what i usually grab
>>

In Canada it's 3.15cad for a tallboy.

I can buy "expensive" tall cans of way better microbreweries for less. It's not BAD beer I guess, but if I'm looking for a beer of similar quality I could just buy vastly superior tiger for 50 cents less.

I can tell you lads don't get out much. They have their place I agree, and that's at home.

When you're actually getting on it, the Polish are the kings of session lagers. Americans and their 2% pisswaters (like, how do you even get drunk off 2% beer?) would feel like they've been struck with a hammer.

Grolsch 'Herfstbok' & Hertog Jan 'Karakter' are ones you should definitely find there.

Grand Prestige (or 'Karakter' if you can't find that one) is a dark beer that is absolutely great for the winter months.

Grolsch 'Herfstbok' is actually more an autumn beer, but if your winter is as warm as ours, still very drinkable. It's a bockbeer, meaning it is a fairly dark beer with some caramel flavor

There are some more obscure ones like Jopen but they're fairly unknown even here.
>>
>>53792172
I have no idea of what you just said. But yeah, we exclusively drink national beers, and export a few of them (Tecate, XX, Corona). Minerva, Pacifico and Negra Modelo are the best ones. But we are used to drink beer exclusively cold on our sunny beaches, if we want to get pissed we drink Tequila or hard liquor. Mexican beer is mild at best so no one drinks it to get drunk.

They don't exist here man. Out of the hundreds of unique places to buy alcohol within walking distance of my apartment, there aren't any that are like this.

The hipsters won, and it's a much better alternative.

Ignore him.

Outside of the northeast, traditional "pubs" don't exist, in the sense that you're talking about.

Most of our pubs that actually resemble pubs are noveau-pubs that people have been painstakingly replicated as hobbies, usually gen-X children of old money in flyover states.

Where is "here"?

Haven't seen a cactus growing naturally in my life, I've never been in the north tho. But sounds interesting. I wonder how it tastes like. Mezcal is more our kind of stuff.

Mate, you'd get sparked out with that attitude.

Nice insight senpai

I'd offer praises if it were true, but it isn't so I won't offer any praises at all.

disgusting

What gentrified commercial anomaly do you live in? Maybe then we can determine why you perspective on American bars is so severely warped.

Nice try faggot
>>

Implying there are no Germans and Czech there dumbass.

Not sure about beer, but Australian Riesling and Gewurztraminer are really good.

Also, you over-estimate how hard it is to brew.

The only thing worse than "muh microbrews" fags are home brewing fags. You're beer if objectively shit.

Has anyone had pic related? I got a six pack of it the other day and thought it was delicious. I can't believe that it has such high ABV. I couldn't even notice it.
