Should I learn Russian or German ?
Do give reasons for why I should pick either one ok?
The languages I know are English and Romanes.
German is probably far easier for an English speaker. But sounds kind of ugly, and, especially with Germany's worsening situation, it probably won't be as useful as Russian.

1. Russians don't speak English, but Germans do.
2. Knowing Russian is essential if you want to be an astronaut.
3. Russia has made some interesting movies, Germany hasn't done that since the thirties, when they were still silent.
4. There are Russian speakers in some parts of the US, and would therefore be more useful to you in day to day life... although still fairly useless.
If you want to learn a useful language, that also has a lot of fun cultural products, there is really only one alternative: Spanish.

French is useless on what measure? The French speaking European region is hugely important, the Francophone world is bigger than the Portugese speaking world and the French language is still hugely important for NGOs.
