Do you really think any sort of arbitrary increase in GDP is beneficial?
If I pay a million retards to dig ditches and then fill them, then pay them to do it all over again. That will increase GDP, but it won't actually help the economy beyond paying retards. As well, eventually the local economy will adjust to account for these ditch digging retards and prices will increase. This will allow for local growth, but only for a limited time and it will eventually become worthless growth as the industry introduced will eventually be rendered pointless and then the entire economy of the region will collapse because it was centered around a horseshit industry.
