That's true, but I still find it somewhat applaudable they keep having a solid voter base. There are a couple of more moderate Christian parties too, but they don't seem to take any voters away from them.
They don't get much media representation and I don't even think most people really know their policies, but they got into the news a while ago when there was a big measles epidemic in the bible belt and they linked it to the fact that SGP opposes vaccination.
Leftists are way too preoccupied with Geert Wilders and don't bring much to the table anyway. Leftists parties here are basically single-issue parties, we have one for environmentalism, one for animal rights, one for hardcore socialism and the biggest leftist party here bends over for anyone just to get into the cabinet.

Dutch culture has always had a libertarian anything-goes bent. Back in the Middle Ages, pagans coexisted alongside Christians and the local churches were mostly independent of Rome.
