I don't live there full time at all, but the refugees are everywhere for sure. Their number is huge and the town is going to sink economically since tourism was an important part of the industry here. Surely there's a rise in assaults of every sort twoards french nationals (not mentioning the poor truckers) but they certainly kill each other a lot more since they are ethnically very diverse.

No, they would just go towards our other ports (Le havre etc), the people they paid to get in Europe told them england was a welfare state paradise, and they won't have anything else. We lose a lot of money because british people use to come through the town, which in itself isn't a fantastic sight, buy alcohol or eat at a restaurant or just chill, then go back home or continue their trip to more interesting french places, but lately it's dead as fuck for this exact reason.
