Our economy isn't very diversified so stagnation, poor performance and loss of competiviness in industries that used to mean a lot for the economy (metal, electronics, forest) mean that our country has trouble recovering. Also small economy means in our case exports makes up a large portion of our GDP and Russia sanctions hit us hard because of it. Doesn't help that we can't have independent monetary policy because we use euro.
Compare this to Sweden for example. Like all countries, they got hit by the financial crisis but recovered fast because they 1. have their own currency which allows better adjusting to the crisis through more flexible economic policies and 2. their economy is more diversified.
