Most of water in tap here, is filtered mineral water, from underground sources.

It contains eg. 75.3 mg / l calcium, 6,8mg / L, magnesium 7,35mg / l of sodium. It is not highly mineralized, but considering that it is tap water, it still should be commended levels of minerals. This is the water clean and having a health-promoting qualities and is completely safe to drink straight from the tap. You do not need to boil it because it not contains the bacteria.
Back in the day a building's hot water would be heated in a separate tank, usually stored somewhere like the attic, so drinking water and hot water for cleaning were separated to eliminate the risk of sickness or disease in case the tank became unclean or stagnant.
In fact this is still a risk with modern gas heating systems. Hot water that is heated on demand when the tap is turned on can have sediment and sludge build up in the system, warm water also promotes bacteria growth, and also leeches toxic compounds from metal pipes.

Our tap water is clean, the two taps were used in old houses because some houses have 80 year old tank boilers still. It's not safe to drink water that's been sat at 35-40 degrees for 8 hours.
