We have a bunch of viking festivals all over the country, usually consisting of dressing up in medieval Norwegian attire, partaking in activities reminiscent of those times, riding around in reconstructed viking ships, and eating food they likely would have eaten back then. Some people might even engage in mock duels, or try to recreate ancient viking battles. It's kind of autistic, but good fun all in all.

It's one of our old Christian traditions, where as many people possible gather up on beaches in late June to drink and watch shit burn. The city of Ålesund was especially notorious last time, building a huge 40 metre tower of wood as their bonfire, just to purposely see it burn down again on the night of the celebration.
