I think Polish might be easier because the writing system is more phonetic. In Russian you have to learn the pronunciation separately from the word (“parahod” reads like “prahot” and no, there is no rule for that, and yes that’s for every word). In Polish, you see chrząszcz, and it reads chrząszcz, so to speak.

Pronounciation is the easiest part o both languages. You can learn it in a few minutes. Grammar and vocabulary are the hardest parts and they're a bit easier in russian.

Note that I’m talking about learning how to pronounce Russian. I was thinking about stuff like how in Polish the penultimate syllable is generally the stressed one, while in Russian it’s just a random syllable from the word, or how a word “zdravstvuite” is actually zdrasti in speech. Essentially, Russian has the same terrible issue English has, that you have to learn it twice, for writing, and speech.
