If I could trace back my European ancestor they probably all would be boring farmers or shopkeepers. It's so fucking cool that you can share your relatives and inlaws family history to what job they have, how many children, what they did, how they died etc. Seriously the most I know about my grandad on my dad's side was that he liked opium A LOT. He died when he was like 40 or something. Additionally with Chinese people at the time his wife had binded feet and he smoked and drank heavily.

The New Zealand heritage was surprising. I think they may have had assets in Australia, but I'm not completely sure. The great granduncle that died in ww1 fought for Australia even though he was born in New Zealand.
As for the rape baby claim, I'm just really confused by all the German/French last names I'm seeing together up the tree. With all the annexation going on at the time, it's sort hard to distinguish what's going on. I probably need to do some more research on the history of the area at the time.
On another note, I was kind of surprised to find out my great-grandparents were cousins as well, but they were rather wealthy at the time, so I guess it may have just been a way to keep money in the family.

It's sort of difficult if a country/area didn't have a flag at the time (not to mention some people on here may not even recognize it), so I would personally just stick with standardising everything and use the modern day ones.
