Not that cold nowadays. Finland and much of Eastern Europe are experiencing cold waves worse than those that pass through here for the time being. Lots of snow lately, though.

These made me think of an utterly bizarre, unworldly construction in Spain from the 70's. See a tour here, as it's pretty fucking dope, yet somewhat unnerving to think that something like this is made for living in.

Yea, you bet! But you could avoid spending that much if you can get a local guide. He'll bring you to places where are not situated in heavily touristed areas where ordinary citizens have their meals and do their shopping. People are incredibly friendly too! I've encountered so many different nationalities. Uzbeki, Indian, Filipino, Bengali, Pakistani, Jordanian, Egyptian and your typical Emirati in trobes. Transportation wise you have the Dubai Metro where its easily the best mode of getting around. Taxis wise, as usual try to avoid those 'Black Taxis' who normally would approach you beforehand. Really enjoyed my time there, hope to visit UAE again!

Nah, it's one of the more vast skylines in Europe. Just also one of the ugliest. The best thing about it is probably its focus on pencil towers, which is what makes me think it's a bit like an odd mix between Hong Kong and Brazilian cities.

It's because everyone forgets it exists, or think it's too ugly to even acknowledge its existence, but it's undeniable that the supposed city with the most high-rises per capita in the whole world is up there. 26 towers with 100+ metres of height is also pretty good for a Western European city, let alone one of its size. l All it needs is a couple actually remarkable projects, and you'd see SCC's attention fly towards it.

Neat. I heard Finland is actually really into underground construction. I wish we too could get the parking aspect of it down, as there's nothing uglier than parking lots taking up valuable space in a city.

Well maybe it's top 10(it really shows the level of Europe in terms of skyline that so bad skyline as Benidorm can be considered top 10) but I certainly think it doesn't qualify as top 5 Europe by any means. Warsaw is much better and it's not even top 5 too.

There's now really been a boom in underground construction in Finland. A new metro line is soon to be open in Helsinki region and they already started digging a extension for that even though it's not even completed yet. Also planning 2 more new metro lines more and a series of underground train stations under Helsinki. A new partially underground railway line connecting Helsinki-Vantaa airport to the railway network finished a few months ago. the Pic is about a new metro center + buss terminal being constructed under Tapiola. The metro tunnel is located below the pic.
