Afraid not. Although Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide all have extensive suburban commuter rail networks (and all but Adelaide have underground sections), there is no rapid transit system in Australia. Sydney is constructing the first line of a future full-fledged driverless metro, whilst the single underground line my city (Melbourne) is building is a metro in name only.
