I literally just did, at the beginning of this discussion, in fact; they both spring from the people who gave birth to you and raised to you, but nationality is definitely not determined by ethnicity. Nationality is, by definition, the quality of belonging to a nation.

If anything, China is a MUCH more varied country than America. If you walk from, say, Washington state to Illinois, the only change you ought to notice is fewer Asians and more Darkies. Food? Music? Lifestyle? Practically identical.
