How's the conscription situation in your country? Would you have it if you don't?

That doesn't make much sense, if you're for conscription -- which an overwhelming majority of young people are -- then it would obviously apply to yourself as well.
I often hear talk about "I should have done GMU (voluntary basic combat training)" and such, and I know many people who did do it. These are my peers among engineering students I'm talking about, by the way. If it was duty instead of volunteering, they would gladly do it, I'm sure.

People who are for conscription just remind me of the study done on automated cars where the car would choose to kill the driver instead of a bigger group of other people in a crash situation (to minimize the loss of lives) and basically everybody said they think it's a great idea, but also said they themselves would never drive the car.
