Don't be so sour. They barely had copper infrastructure and they went directly to fiber instead if having to modernize. Whereas in the west, greedy telecommunications conglomerates keep making excuses for not upgrading and shilling out cable packages.
My uncle who lives in a small village up in the mountains has a better internet connection than I can dream of and he pays like 10 euros for it. Also, mobile internet and coverage is up to snuff as well.
