What is this Swenglish shit?

Typically in Canada I would do cross country skiing during daylight since it would not follow lit areas. IE. going through the woods/fields, so obviously you need natural light or to bring your own. Longer daylight hours obviously make just going before sunset the easy choice.

protip; they didn't need light in the old days. modern scandis grown soft

Well, maybe not swenglish, just non-idiomatic english. I found it somewhat harder to read.

And all of it.

there are cross-country ski trails which are lit up, but otherwise you just go during daytime. It's a bit inevitable because of how vast Canada is, obviously plenty of trails (whether for ski, skidoo, snowshoeing, etc.) will have no lighting provided.

As for myself, I really don't see the appeal of cross-country skiing. Or any winter sports, for that matter.

I dunno, maybe if I were NEET and lived in the coutryside winter would be nice, but when you have a full-time job in the city winter is more of a pain in the ass than anything else. If I could wake up after the sun has come up, spend most of the time comfily inside, and then only go outside to run or ski or something like that, I guess I could enjoy it. But I have to deal with winter-time transportation, and winter-time daylight, or lack thereof (mind you it's not as bad as in Sweden, but still).

Really, as much as I try to think of it as "comfy" or "cozy", all that comes to mind when I think of winter is pic related. In fact, this is exactly what it currently looks like at this very moment outside my appartment.
