Finding a good third is not easy though. Imagine the normal difficulty of finding a partner that you really click with, now they need also click well with you AND your other partner, AND must be able to manage such relationships as healthily as you, and either be bisexual or homosexual, depending on the starting point.
It's not something that I would ever recommend people doing without a lot of forethought and seriously open and honest communication in their existing relationship.
