Stingrays have a rough reputation but they really aren't bad. At San Remo there's a whole bunch of them and nobody gives a shit. They swim around under the jetty and even come right up to shore and under swimmers but they never make trouble. Steve Irwin was either incredibly unlucky or he pissed one off. Their sting is bad but they're never really more than curious about people.
