It's the future Mexican people must choose in order to achieve a Mexican tomorrow. For the glory of Mexico: If everything was "a la Nuevo Leon", Mexico would now have 4 trillion GDP, at least $20k per capital, AEM would be opening the Chichen Itza colony on the Moon, every hungry child of Africa would get a free chipotle from the Mexican government, and Mexico would be throwing solid zinc at Americans and laughing at them for how many lead and petroleum la Patria can shit

Sonoran here, studied grad school in Monterrey and Dallas.

In Monterrey there's actually Mexican industry (not foreign) which is willing to improve/give added value to products by investing in I+D, unlike the automotive industry which usually only wants to do processes/labor cheaper (Mexican executives call this "lean manufacturing", from my POV this is malnourished tacaño manufacturing).

For a country to really progress it is necessary to develope or give added value to our products. Not to rely on outsiders and be their manufacturing braindead labourers.

I like that about this state. And that middle class neighborhoods are comfy and decent.

But because of industry (and their pride), people forget about the repercusions on the enviroment. Yes, we have a lot of industry and jobs in here because of it, but we are also the most contaminated city, not just in México but in Latin fucking America.

Why do mexicans have such a shitty culture towards certain things? We don't care about anything as long as we have two big ass cars to show off, or as long as we barely have a roof but we got DEM SKY TV FOR DEM PROGRAMS

Everything is a monopoly here, salaries are shit unless you're into politics or the CEO of some company; a lot of well paid jobs are outsourced crap, we have the longest hours and lowest pay in the world, our streets are dirty and every time it rains shit gets flooded...

People keep on voting for the same two or three shit parties over and over, there's nepotism everywhere (palancas, you know what I mean), we're ignorant as fuck and bureacracy here can be a fucking sick joke sometimes.

Mexicans hate other mexicans and it's never gonna end.

I hate how NL fucked up wit viality, at this rate it will be needed a second floor highway, what the fuck. Lazaro Cardenas boulevard is growing with tall buildings, I fear that the street won't have the capacity to hold that.

Culture is really ignored, ALSO mexican people are one of the most ignorants (if not the most ignorant according to recent studies) about our situation and history, no pride in being mexican. A korean from my group discussed with a mexican medic (head of the whole fucking Hospital San Jose) about some proceedures, and told hum that "he was typical mexican" and burocratical. He didn't understand why he raged so hard, found it kind of sad.

>>53021184
We are ignorant about our situation, ALSO, something really important is that we undervalue work that doesn't require education (let's say, being a plumber or carpenter). Culturally we degrade work, which shouldn't be, look how well paid is an industrial welder in germany against a mexican one, and that's because his work isn't undestimated.

We simply stay ignorant and are everyone's labourer, we need to create our own enterprises, but almost nobody wants to risk a lot. Cultura del chingón, rifar haciendo poco, mediocridad. There are lots of opportunities that foreigners are taking it from us... but we prefer stay inside of comfort zone as stablished by society.
