Hallo /int/
If there are any of you that are currently learning German, or in the process of learning German I would like to invite you to join a Skype group comprised of fellow /int/ browsers that are also learning German.
As for the group, it was created almost a year to date and it still going strong. In the group we discuss topics related to the German language, Germany, and many others. We share resources, links, graphics, and various other tools used to aide your studies in German. Once you are in the group you will always have access to asking any questions regarding German or conversing in German as our group members are from around the world and the chat is usually always active but also never feels overcrowded. Included are also native German speakers who are happy to help you and converse with you.
For those interested in joining, I ask only a few things from you. Please do not join if you intend to go inactive in 2 days. Skype limits our free groups to a certain amount if we wish to have calls and currently all of our members are active. Secondly, please actually be learning German and not interested only in political discussions. Yes, you can meme from time to time but please don't shitpost.

Yeah, I've posted threads for the group before. The first was almost a year ago but there have been more since then. We've had many people come and go and I thought it would be nice to have some fresh faces to converse and practice with.

I've joined language clubs before and they usually just end up being awkward discussions about famous cities/actors or ditzy games like "Stadt, Land, Fluss". Does this group do things differently?
Another thing I've observed is that it's usually two or three people of the same people who drive discussions and act like nobody else is there. Does this happen in this group as well?

Well as I've said before, the group has existed since January of last year. We don't do silly games or quizes but rather get straight to it. We represent 10 different nationalities and all of us are good friends so we always have something to dicuss.
Another thing you have to remember is that everyone in the group browses /int/. We do have fun conversations and we do banter but the majority of our conversations are in German or about German.

No, not all of the time. All of the people in the group are at different levels of their knowledge with German. We have very advanced people and as well as a few beginners so the English/German ratio does change depending on who is online but all of us do speak excellent English.
