>turn on television
>pic related is now the self-appointed moral compass of your country
How fucked is your country now, /int/?
Americans don't need to reply
Here's what I don't get. John Oliver is a product of the UK's modern value system. They prefer larger government, less personal responsibility, socialism and other modern left ideas. The same ideas are taking hold in the other Commonwealth countries as well as West Europe as well. So would anything change for a place like NZ?
STOOOOOOOP!!!!!!!!!
STOP!!!!
JUST FUCKING END 2015 ALREADY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
>>53002263
I really dont understand why do stormfags hate this guy so much
>>53002466
>t. John Oliver is a product of the UK's modern value system
no
he is product of modern absurdity and lack of substance, he makes fun of quality of argument not cultural assumptions
>>53002523
nigger
>>53002263
It can't get any worse, he'd fit right into our media.
>>53002466
You'd be right, but Mr 2015's views don't actually reflect that of the UK - they're twisted towards a US audience.
They're what he thinks the American left want to hear of his British values and he's right because he hasn't been fired yet.
>>53002523
cause his is the only show they watch.
>>53002523
Lots of people who aren't 'stormfags' hate this guy.
I mainly hate him because he is a political activist cynically and blatantly masquerading as a comedian, and he doesn't even compensate for it by being a good/funny (e.g John Stewart).
He is fucking dreadful in every way.
>>53002625
I honestly don't understand why our leftists get off on having British people come over and call Americans shit. Piers Morgan, Gordan Ramsay, Simon Cowell, now John Oliver.
it's like a political fetish or something
>>53002263
>tfw 2015 will never end
>>53002263
He's not that funny, but I agree with him for the most part
It would be better than what we have now
>>53002768
>John Stewart
Jon Stewart was less funny. The Daily Show has been unwatchable for years.
>>53002263
"It's 2016" doesn't quite ring off the tongue is as well
>>53002932
Colbert was the best one
>>53002780
Kek, now you put it that way there does seem to be a trend.
It's mostly just playing off that le bad Briddish guy xD meme.
did he said "come on its 2016" yet ?
>>53002780
Ramsay and Cowell aren't the same as Oliver and Morgan though
>>53002523
Hey Johnie, I thought Brits werent allowed in argentina?
>>53002263
dude, its 2016!
>>53003008
Seems like their appeal comes from the same place, they're all marketed as angry British guy
even if I think Ramsay's is 3rd best celebrity chef/ recipe source in the country tbqph
>>53002932
I dunno, I found him entertaining when I saw him (except all the celebrity interviews I fucking hate those).
Definitely on a different level than Oliver anyway
>>53002523
Watching him makes me want to browse reddit
>>53003397
Dont watch it then, dumbass
>>53002263
I've seen his show on my national TV today (RTP3 for any tuga asking).
Immediately turned the TV off.
You guys will never understand anything if you assume he is making fun of the substance
He isn't because his argument has no substance
He is making fun of the lack of substance
When you hear him speak on something you only feel something is missing, that's the point of his joke because he never explains it fully, you are suppose to feel unfulfilled, always
You guys need to go back to /pol/ literally all of you
>>53003598
Sure thing
>>53003836
>>53002932
Jon Stewart was okay. Trevor Noah has been alright so far.
The Colbert Report was better, IMO.
>>53002263
Who is him?
