I have an odd question; do the Germans still regard Manfred von Richthofen as a heroic figure? I know he was considered a national hero during the early 1900's due to his wartime exploits and propaganda campaigns, but I'm curious as to whether or not modern day Germany still thinks of the Red Baron as heroic.I can understand if they do, every country tends to think of their own historical figures as heroic to a degree, but you know that whole Nazi thing certainly looks bad in the history books, and I don't know how that affects Richthofen's legacy.
