The earliest concrete plan for a new world organization began under the aegis of the US State Department in 1939.[7] The text of the "Declaration by United Nations" was drafted by President Franklin Roosevelt, British Prime Minister Winston Churchill, and Roosevelt aide Harry Hopkins, while meeting at the White House, 29 December 1941. It incorporated Soviet suggestions, but left no role for France. "Four Policemen" was coined to refer four major Allied countries, United States, United Kingdom, Soviet Union, and China, which was emerged in Declaration by United Nations.[8] Roosevelt first coined the term United Nations to describe the Allied countries.[b] "On New Year's Day 1942, President Roosevelt, Prime Minister Churchill, Maxim Litvinov, of the USSR, and T. V. Soong, of China, signed a short document which later came to be known as the United Nations Declaration and the next day the representatives of twenty-two other nations added their signatures."[9] The term United Nations was first officially used when 26 governments signed this Declaration. One major change from the Atlantic Charter was the addition of a provision for religious freedom, which Stalin approved after Roosevelt insisted.[10][11] By 1 March 1945, 21 additional states had signed.[12]

Btw, i forgot to mention that when you read it, you pronounced the "de" veeeeery weird for a brazilian. http://vocaroo.com/i/s01uJGAGH7fM
Why do you want so much to sound from the south? Tbh you should first learn Portuguese with the "normal" accent for a gringo and then try to acquire a regional accent (if that's what you want)

That was very good. I think you pronounced "et peut-être" a bit too fast, because it wasn't very clear. Also a small mistake you made was that you forgot to do the liason at "un essor", the n should be pronounced at the begining of essor. It's not a big deal, but it just sounds more correct like that.
Also sorry for the numbers, I wasn't sure you would know them, but you got them all right, so good job !

The prettiest woman in the compound by a country mile was an American CPA official called Jodie.
[...]
Dale had been supervising a couple of young lads put the finishing touches to the sniper screens. Jodie flicked her hair and marched right up to him.
"What the hell do you bozos think you're doing? This is not an Army boot camp, you know. This is a peaceful office of the Government of Iraq. You've made us feel like we're living in Fort Knox."
"Sorry about that, we're just doing our job."
"You may think that's your job but the only reason we're being attacked is because you guys are here."
"I'm not sure that's really the case."
"Anyway what sort of image does this give to the local Iraqis? You've put us back at square one," she added as an afterthought. "You might as well be Saddam Hussein."
"Now you listen to me. The only reason we're here is to protect you and what you do in this place. And if we hadn't been here the last few days, there's a strong chance the OMS would have crept over the walls in the dead of night and chopped you and all your CPA buddies into little bits with kitchen knives, so go have your breakfast and let us do our fucking jobs".

We heard no more from Jodie about our renovations.

The Czech Republic, in Central Europe, is known for its ornate castles, native beers and long history – from the Celtic and Germanic tribes of its founding to the Protestant Reformation and Communism. Prague, the capital, is home to a 9th-century castle, preserved medieval Old Town and statue-lined Charles Bridge. Český Krumlov is a living gallery of Renaissance-era buildings housing restaurants and shops.

Classy generic response.

Caminante, son tus huellas
el camino y nada más;
Caminante, no hay camino,
se hace camino al andar.
Al andar se hace el camino,
y al volver la vista atrás
se ve la senda que nunca
se ha de volver a pisar.
Caminante no hay camino
sino estelas en la mar.

Why did your accent go from what I assume was Nordee to Liverpool?
>>

Dale was a Brit :(

The roar at the end sounded like a cheap rant from a shitty anime, kek.

bonus points for saying "by the 1st of March" rather than "by one March".

9.5/10

>>52994194

6/10 scot accent, but don't ask me to explain how to make it more scottish.

>>52967518

3/10, not enough "yeehaw! hot diggity dog!"

>>52981828

I only noticed one word I'd pronounce different, which is "aide." I'd pronounce it like "aid" without the added "eh" after.

>>52982493

3/10, not enough "pip-pip cheerio ol' chap."

No but, I vaguely recognise your voice. Did you live in France for a while?
>>
Here's one, if someone wants to do this:

9.4/10, perfectly understandable. You pronounced "representative" with a long A instead of a short A like I'd do, but it's not a big deal. It does sound like you have a slight case of down syndrome, though.
>>
>>53008381
You said "organization" in a very weird way, but otherwise it was fine, just work on the intonation.
>>
>>53008290
>9.5/10
Pesky fucking 0.5.
>>
>>53008511
Thanks mate
I think it's the combination of the mic and my cold. I'm mentally fine.

>>53008531
Yeah, I'm trying to work on the intonation without sounding like a retard trying to imitate a Brit
>>
>>53008346
And here are some slang sentences:

>Jätä mulle kans pari baislarii.

>Koska sä aloit blaffaa?

>Mä budjaan nykysin Pian kans Hagiksessa.

>Kyl se böijaa, anna mennä vaan!

>Kandeisko meidän breggaa tohon nurkan pankkii?

Don't worry, I only rate 10/10 if it makes me laugh out loud. 9.5 is pretty much the highest I will go. Sometimes I might do 9.6 if I'm feel generous.
