I wouldn't say that my dogs are "hobby" but they took away as much money and more time then most hobbies.

Also i would say around 200€ a month plus yearly costs

This. Also movies. Also brewing beer. Spend none on first 2 and when brewing I get really nice discounts on materials. In the end, I lose no money, rather gain some from sales.

So I make more money from hobbies than I lose. I am a jew at heart.

I collect toy cars, and race RC trucks.
I buy a lot of them from people and the internet, then I sell some for profit on ebay. So I normally end up making a little money.
Also collect maps.

Don't fall for this meme, technically you're paying for the internet and presumably you buy a new computer every few years.

I've never understood shooting as a hobby, hunting maybe but just standing there and pulling the trigger?

I grew up in a rural area so there were shotgun owners everywhere and I shot rifles in the Scouts but I've never understood it as a hobby.

It's nice to have something you can shut everything else away and be completely focused in. When I'm shooting, it's just me, the gun and the piece of paper. Practice practice practice. Same thing when I decide to build/paint some plane models.
It's quite relaxing desu
>>
>>52949616
i like having everything on steam, and the .0000000000001% chance of getting in trouble pirating isn't worth just paying a bit of money for it
>>
>>52949470
>how much have you spent?

Too be honest I haven't spent much in the past year but during 2013 and 2014 I spent about $8k

> and what do you play?

Tau, when I get a job I'll start spending money again but I've decided to myself that I'm not buying anymore models until majority of my Tau are painted

I made the dumb decision to buy some Chaos & High Elves Fantasy that I played once and never got around to painting. That was a massive waste of money; maybe one day I will actually paint them all and It can be some display

I have interests in most of the 40k armies. Eldar have always been on my radar but I feel like If I started Eldar I would just never stop. So when I start another army It'll probably either be Necrons or Space Marines.

When I was a child I had mostly Tyranids, with some Necrons and Space Marines

>how good are you at painting?

About on par for what you would expect someone who's been interested in the hobby for a long time (Collected when I was a child, stopped late middle school, started again after high school). Which is to say pretty good but nothing a lot of other people can't do. I am a very slow painter though.

I used to shoot to but then I had an epiphany: every hour I spend at the range I could spend in the gym to become a sick cunt. 2 years later here I am and thanks to that I have a gf too. It costs 90.- per month.
Also I stopped shooting because a gunfight will never happen rather a fistfight so I am more prepared.

Reading books is sort of hobby £20 a month

Gym is sort of a hobby £60 pm

Coding is a hobby £50pm in subscription fees

Producing music is a hobby, spent about £800 in the last 4-5 years

For what purpose? My gym doesn't even have a security guard HUEHUEUEUHEU, it's funny to see how you view my country

Gyms here are expensive, mine is US100 but my father's gym is like US200.
I think they are better than the American ones to be honest, we have a lot classes and support from professionals, the one that my father goes has even a small clinic next to it

The thing is we don't have flexible plans, the good gyms always offer the same price for everybody ,
for example if you just wanted to have yoga classes you would have to pay the same as I
that go there to have swimming classes, bodybuilding etc etc

How do you guys spend so much on gym memberships? I spend $99 USD a year on my 24/7/365 fully equipped gym (free classes also offered)
>>
>>52949547

I am literally not paying for the internet. My apartment is near a university building, so I steal their's. EPIC

Computer is surplus from mother's work. I once bought one in 2007 tho. And I don't buy one every few years. I don't play modern games that take a lot of internet. A good quality business class laptop can last easily for 7 years.

As I said, jew at heart.

I need a new one
Computer games have lost their thrill and I need something to occupy my time between 17:00 and 21:00 on weekdays that isn't television.
I was thinking something along the lines of a programming project but my last attempt at a local proxy server was a bust and I don't want to tread old ground.
Tell me how I should spend my evenings, /int/

I used to be a huge gamer, upgrading pc every year, buying games,go to lan parties etc etc

I dropped it cause it became an addiction

I also have a passion for electronic musical instruments such as synthesizers, drum machines, effects pedals and similar. Got like 2500 euros of gear, wich is not that much desu

I just started to learn how to make little felt figures like pic related. Plz no bully I know it's very gay
Price varies depending on kits and materials, but it's not very expensive. I just really wanted something to do with my hands that was easy to get into.

I guess I'm also really into foreign language. Prices fluctuate from free studying online, a couple dozen bucks for a textbook, or $300+ if I wanna go take a class

>Motorcycles
Not too much, most maintenance I do myself and I'm fairly well set in terms of gear and the motorcycle i have currently.
Im guessing about 100 euros a month for insurance, gas etc
>Fountainpens
Last year about 250 euros a month, this year I don't have anything I want specifically so itll drop to sub 10 a month for the occasional bottle of ink.
>Swimming
Not much at all, I can swim at the university gym for about 100 euros a year so a little under 10 a month.

Collecting, assembling and painting miniatures to defend my virginity in the name of the Emperor.
So far they've done their job.

Also, wasting money to buy little pieces of cardboard with cool pictures and text on them.

late as fuck reply but the gym I go to is a part of the local municipality recreation office so a lot of the costs of running it are covered in with taxes. The gym its self has pretty much everything you need in it, but the floor space itself is small so it can be a little crowded at times. I was with another gym when I lived away from home and it was about $50 a month and I considered that really expensive.

>>52950931
It really depends on where you go, a membership for a gym in the middle of a big city is obviously going to cost more then a membership for a gym in bumfuck nowhere

Try to find a good gym in SP that has quality, is clean, treat you well, has good equipment, teachers etc. It's not that expensive unless you are used to a sub standard service

>>52950931
It's just expensive. Plus US50 of supplements
>>
>>52955147
I wouldn't even try to find one if it's usually for those prices.
I'd just run laps across a park or something if I wanted to lose weight or buy weights to lift at home (it's definitely worth it if you're paying that much for gym) if I wanted to get buffed.
>It's not that expensive
It's hella expensive.
