Over 25% of our vocabulary is from a Germanic language (proto-germanic, low german, swedish, old norse, high german). And many of these happen to be cognates with English.

None, but we do use many English loanwords in Ljubljana when talking in slang. Hearing young people drop English adverbs and adjectives in the middle of a Slovenian sentence is pretty common.

English is the dumpster baby of euro languages. quarter French, quarter Latin/Greek, quarter German, small percentage native English words and the rest from various other languages like Arabic.
