People are complicated and can form complicated opinions. While I it's good that immigrants integrate, I don't think it's true that a second gen immigrant in Sweden can call themselves a Swede (Swedish citizen, like he did is appropriate). This reaction is however more in the context of the historic reference he made (the empire) which he has no connection to. His family came there in the 1990s, which means he is at least 300 years too late.
